A Brief Excerpt From 1960s Brick Bronson and the Lord of Cargyle Manor by Stoney M. Badess
“Of all the things I’ve done for my country, this has to be the worst,” complained Brick as he and Timmy left their room and headed to the manor’s enormous drawing room.
“You look fine, Mr. Bronson. This is how all the men dress in Scotland.”
“Which explains why they’ve always been so easily controlled by those namby-pamby mama’s boys in England. Real men don’t wear skirts and that’s an incontrovertible fact!”
Timmy laughed.
“You’re just mad because everyone can see your knobby knees,” he teased his friend.
Brick smiled at this just before he punched Timmy in the face.
