A Brief Excerpt From 1981's Brick Bronson and the Masked Slasher of Camp Kiowa by Stoney M. Badess
After running for a mile through the woods, Tina was amazed that her towel had not yet fallen off.
Still, she didn’t know how much longer she could keep running. Even as the sound of the masked-maniac’s weed-whacker buzzed ever louder behind her, she felt herself slowing down and regretting each increasingly painful stride, until finally she fell helplessly to the ground.
Within seconds the maniac was upon her.
From beneath his mask, Tina heard a familiar laugh.
“Brick? Is that you?”
The maniac lifted up his mask and smiled.
“Told you, you’d have fun at camp,” Brick greeted her.
